"If you are afraid of yourself, only then are you afraid of other people. If you love yourself, you love others. If you hate yourself, you hate others.
Because in relationship with others, it is only you mirrored. The other is nothing but a mirror. So whatsoever happens in relationship, always know it must have happened before, within you - because the relationship can only magnify. It cannot create; it can only show and manifest."

Hi Ronald,
Osho Rajneesh was a spiritual teacher from India, his views on a lot of topics were very revolutionary at the time of his teachings (1960s-80s). The one that drew me the most was his suggestion that we be Zorba the Buddha. Celebrate material life like Zorba the Greek while being as enlightened as The Buddha. see this video clip to get a taste of Zorba: YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.
He also created many active meditation techniques involving dance and cathartic body movements that I continue to use with great benefit:

If you ever visit India check out his Meditation Resort at Pune, its beautiful beyond words and the best place to learn these meditations.

If you love yourself, you love others.
Thank you for this quote Princess. I know this to be true because these days when I see strangers naturally the first thoughts to enter my mind are thoughts like "Another beautiful expression of the infinite", or noticing a specific wonderful quality in that person. This has happened only after I started doing rampages of self-appreciation and noticing all the things I was doing right, valuing myself.

Thanks Osho Rewa
...from what I know of Osho, I do very much appreciate him!
Odd to in my own life originally come from Oregon (where he was feared by many for the commune there) and eventually journey into quite a bit of respect for him, in living in the SF Bay Area. I've known several devotees who lived with him in India, and learned much. They were, and are bright and alive!
(May we be devotees of each other -- and Source, in that!).
My own path has been strewn with many delightful "flowers"...from "Abe", to Amma; Sri-Sri Ravi Shankar -- to, heck, BurningMan! And maybe "Church of the Divine Giggle", "Divine Get Down", and "Divine Wow!" -- if I can just locate --(within?) -- where I put that address!!
Osho was a bit of a Trickster, yes? Works for me!
Thanks for a great reason to "show up" today (my first day on "Abetalk")...
Hi to you, (and you, and you!); to one and all!
