[quote="GJDeming"].
I am an extremely sensitive being so in the past I have been very receptive to other's energies surrounding me and my current state of being.
DITTO HERE FOR ME AS WELL, ABOUT THE SENSITIVE THING.....
Especially, in the past I was always being told that i was just tooooo sensitive....
I would be tired beyond words after spiritual workshops/retreats because I would feel the energy and be very affected by it=a healing and shfting of enrgy but at the time others and I just saw myself as toooo sensitive and weird, tooo different..........................now the world seems to be catching up with me and though I am still more senstive than others I can handle it better and it feels to me that the vibes of the planet are up'ed and shifted........and most importantly I am stronger within myself and I do not draw to me people who want to put me down cause I am different and more sensitive.....
AND..in my training of NLP etc. alternative healing modalities....we never tried to get rid of any of our parts but to love them (they are all parts of us!!)...help them to shift, to calm down, to transform =YES...but not to die. (that just makes them fight all the harder to live)..I would take those precious parts of me (that I may not like so well ) and love them like they were little scared children rock them into releasing resistance and put them into my heart (chakra) to be at ONE with all of who I am....
Does this fit in anywhere with what you all are discussing??????????????????

I dunno about "farewell" to ego. I remember this being really well covered over in the AbeForum. Abraham says that when discussing "ego" one has to clarify what is being referred to.
Abraham's definition of ego is that it is each individual's personal "focusing mechanism" through which we filter our experiences. It is totally necessary to exist in the physical! Gotta have one! ^^

Hmm... yup, I remember that thread very well Patricia :roll:
I think it all depends, like you say, on what ego means for each person. Some people see it as that "thing" that contradicts all the good feeling instincts... or, that which sees everyone else as separate from you, meaning, not connected to you, alien to you... :scratch:
Just some thoughts here... :cool:

If you are defining ego as that part of you which is your focusing mechanism than certainly it is not to be gotten rid of but if you are defining it as that part of your focus that has developed due to being fear based then yes indeed, GOODBYE to that!
