The Neverending Story was a series of books written in German, then translated to English. There have been three movies, a cartoon series and I think a TV special adapted from them. See the first two movies, trust me you will not regret it. Auryn is the magical talisman. I recently found out that it is also a Welsh boy's name that means golden.

I love the Neverending Story too! I didn't recognize the name Auryn but I definitely recognized your signature lines. Brought back some very nice memories. I haven't seen that movie in many years.
