Any fool can host a lively private forum among friends, just as any idiot can sit in his own living room and have a conversation with his best pals. Big fucking whoop.
Throwing an engaging soiree, though, is a totally different story, and it turns out abetalk is a pretty lame party host. Most guests correctly sense they aren't welcome so don't stick around for longer than a minute, and the ones that do stay and hang are left playing charades and waiting for something to happen.
I keep coming back 'cause I got friends at this party, and some other people I'd like to call friends. But the fridge is empty, the bottles are dry, and the same warped, scratchy record keeps playing over and over and over...

I'm with Gina, but it wasn't always this way. For months I was gadding around in a scarlet dress with a shot of whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other, getting to know everyone here.

Now I'm the one in the corner looking bedraggled, only one shoe, and waiting for the action to pick up or dawn to arrive. Or Dawn :facelol:. Or maybe I just need to throw my stomach up, call a cab, get plenty of sleep and a change of clothes and come back later.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the above cartoon is a blatant rip off- and not a very good one at that. I just KNEW it looked familiar and then I did a little research......if you watch the video you'll see what I mean...

This video is based taken from a comic series called, "Lenore" by Roman Dirge. It was originally released circa '98-'99. Roman and I used to work together. If you liked the first one....this one is way better!
