Just curious if there are any members of a Religious Science center/church here on this forum? It's just something I recently discovered and is all about LOA (and actually founded by and based on the teachings of Ernest Holmes--which brings up another topic, but I'll make a separate post for that). I've just been going to the services for the last 3 weeks, and am amazed to be going to "church" where the "sermon" is about LOA and the power of our minds and emotions.

Where are these churches located?
Hey 11:11,
They are all over...I go to the one here in Seattle (mine specifically is called the Center for Spiritual Living). Here is a directory (of of a link from this website http://scienceofmind.com/):

I'm not sure there is one close to you, however if you are interested, you can watch or listen to the talks Kathianne Lewis gives at CSL here:

Hi Seattle! I belonged to the Church of Religious Science in Santa Rosa, CA during the 1990s. It was such a breath of fresh air when I first started going. Like you, I was shocked to be in a church where they were talking about such fascinating topics - not like the church I grew up in. Yay!
I even took a few classes and thought about becoming a Practitioner. But... one year I kind of quit going. For many reasons - none of them important. I guess basically the church just didn't resonate with me as strongly as it used to.
Like yours, the local church changed its name to Center for Spiritual Living. Maybe they all did that?
Anyway, CRS was my first exposure to LOA. I'd never heard of LOA before that. And I have very fond memories of being there and the people I met and the things I learned.

Neat, I think I have come across that center online before. Wow, that must have been something else to learn about LOA there. I am interested in taking some classes there (I was supposed to be taking one starting tomorrow but it got canceled and I can't take the same class they have on Tuesdays because of my acting classes)...which is funny because when I found out, I realized how much my line of thinking has changed...before I would have been pretty upset, but instead I was like, "oh..well that's interesting, I wonder what will be coming up in my near future that I will need to have Saturdays available."...haha....but I know it's so true...the Universe always knows exactly what it is doing!:)

I attend services at the Agape Spiritual Center in Culver City /Los Angeles, CA. Our minister is Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith. He was one of the teachers in "The Secret". I love going there and the services are amazing! It is nice to hear about LOA in a sermon. The music there is also wonderful, too.

Wow that is amazing that he is your minister! That is wonderful! I love hearing him talk and have some of his services as my favorites on youtube. The next time I'm in LA I'll have to go and check out a service there.:)
Have you taken any classes through where you go? I'm taking a Beyond Limits class which starts this week and I'm totally stoked about it. Although I feel that I have a strong basis, I feel there is so much to gained by being around those of like minds and there is always more to learn and strengthen in understanding and knowing.
blessings,
jenn

I've only participated in a few activities outside of the Sunday services at Agape because I don't live very close. They do offer several kinds of classes, however and I'd like to participate more in the future. Please do come and attend a service, you'll love it!
