New Dawn Rising
Sun Jun 15 2008, 4:20pm
Wonderful thread Osho! I love those pictures... makes me want to visit India.

You know I am really happy to see India thrive. Many people in my country (U.S.A.) resent the jobs and the work going "off-shore"... over to China and India. Many people think it is an awful thing. And that we Americans should protect our own and keep all the goodies for ourselves.

But I think it is about time that the wealth gets spread around the world. Feels to me like the great American Empire is going down... like the Fall of the Roman Empire... and countries like India are on the rise.

And it is all perfect and it is all good and it is somebody else's turn to thrive. It has been that way from the beginning of civilization... the fall of one empire and the rise of another.

Besides... we Abers know there is really enough for everyone. Much love to India from this American......

India is on my list too!!!!

Loved the pics Rewa, thanks for posting. I know India is part of the BRCI (Brazil, Russia, India and China) of thriving economies that by 2050 will eclipse most of the current richest countries of the world. Be it.

Much love to India,

Isabel

In relative terms America may no longer be as powerful going forward, but I see America prospering greater than ever before and the rise of India will only add unto it.

It is eye opening for me too Ronald, as I travel across the cities, such posh
world class establishments coming up, so I thought let me collect a few in one place - wow.

i feel after a period of shifting--there will be a world economy--and in that time...all will prosper who choose to prosper...as it has always been,

There's a wonderful book called "God Wants you to Be Rich" by Paul Zane Pilzer he shows clearly through plain words, and economic facts how a creative disruption like this one(the jobs being outsourced) end up creating more and higher paying jobs.

Love to you Alex, I'm happy you are familiar with the MANY cultures of India, that's the best part - even I haven't tasted much more than the surface.

Isabel, you know I had a taste of the Chinese people and their drive while in Singapore - I absolutely love them - they are so focussed on becoming prosperous and the changes happening there are even more dramatic than India.

You'll love India Isabel there is such a wide variety of themes to be explored here.

The world's most expensive home - worth ...get ready for it...~~$2 billion~~ is being built in Mumbai, India by a businessman called Mukesh Ambani

http://www.indiadaily.org/images/mukesh-ambani121_26.jpg

I am not so crazy about the high rise itself, but the vision that is bringing it into being - the willingness to think that expansive, to spend that amount of money, to say hey I want the very best and I know I am worthy of it.

According to the plan, the house will rise to a height of 173.12 meters, equivalent to that of a regular 60-storeyed residential building. However, Antilia will have only 27 storeys in all, which means each floor will have a ceiling considerably higher than the current average.

Six floors for parking
The first six floors will be reserved for parking alone, and that too for cars belonging only to Mukesh’s family. Space for a total of 168 cars has been earmarked here.

Entertainment floor
The eighth floor will have an entertainment centre comprising a mini-theatre with a seating capacity of 50.

Balconies with gardens
The rooftop of the mini-theatre will serve as a garden, and immediately above that, three more balconies with terrace gardens will be independent floors.

The ‘health’ floors
two floors will be set aside for ‘health.’ One of these will have facilities for athletics and a swimming pool, while the other will have a health club complete with the latest gym equipment.

For guests
There will be a two-storeyed glass-fronted apartment for the Ambani family’s guests above the health floors.

Family
The four floors at the top, that will provide a view of the Arabian Sea and a superb view of the city’s skyline

Helipad
The plan states that three helipads are to be built on the terrace.

While a hotel or condominium has a common layout, replicated on every floor, and uses the same materials throughout the building, the Ambanis' home has no two alike in either plans or materials used, it said.

"At the request of Nita Ambani, say the designers, if a metal, wood or crystal is part of the ninth-floor design, it shouldn't be used on the eleventh floor, for example. The idea is to blend styles and architectural elements so spaces give the feel of consistency, but without repetition," it said.
