This is something...

I love crinkly, weathered books and pages. I am not sure what this stems from or if it's some weird psychological shit, but even as a little kid I was obsessed with it. I would steal already-crinkly parchment from school, then put it in cookie sheets, pour coffee beans all over it and vineger, then let it sit overnight. when it would be dry it would be like a weathered treasure map with the most satisfying crinkles I could get my little hands on. I also would carry around this one 'book of monster jokes'.. i wouldnt even read it FFS, i would just carry it around and bend it sharply so it 'kinks' in a way where the pages would roll and make crinkly crunching noises. then i taped it all together, burned the edges with a lighter and did it until the book literally fell to pieces lol

i am not like that anymore, but I still do think its satisfying.. i really enjoy moleskin booklets for the same reason, but it's not an obsession it was like when i was a kid, just something i enjoy.

I am so grateful I have something to offer them and know I am having a positive effect.
I love the appointments with idiotic and tree-wasting government paper-shufflers who keep me busy on weekdays.

I love booze, even when we teamed up this week to wipe almost a whole day out of my life.
In retrospect I'm thankful for the adventure I had yesterday, which I wouldn't have put myself into for a king's ransom, but which forced me to fight (and win against) a would-be attacker despite my vulnerability, and showed me I was strong enough not to have what looked like an inevitable emotional breakdown.
My future looks so bright. Which makes no sense, because I haven't got a clue what's ahead.
I'm just happy today, and that in itself is a miracle.
