Two years ago I bought these really awesome name-brand shorts from a thrift store even though they were one size too small. They fit, with just a widdle teeny tire flapping over them (so I never wore them with belly-baring shirts). I'm thin, but still had just a little extra around the middle that got squeezed up by the waistband. Last summer I spent all my time laying on the beach that I was unable to wear them at all. I told those shorts I'd be wearing them next summer and promptly forgot about it. I spent my fall, winter and spring walking a lot, because I found the beach the best place to get away from anything negative.
I was digging for a bathing suit this morning and the shorts were there, so I tossed them on not thinking. Not only do they fit, I no longer have the little bike tire around the top of them. Wow. I didn't change my eating habits or anything, I eat enough "crap" food to make most doctors panic. I'm thrilled to death, now I have them to wear on Sunday at the San Diego County Faire :)
