I loved it too! I like the nature in the rainforest, even if it was created by man. I like the messages of this flick. I like loving Mother Earth/eywa. I like tribal ceremonies. I like merging consciousness as with the dragons in flight. I like the interconnectedness of all life, like the tree network, similar to the brain's neurons. I like the feeling of Oneness among the people and their connection to nature and seeing, invisible and visible. I liked seeing how the indigenous way has such merit, wholeness, wisdom walking in balance with Mother Earth. The comparison with how "sky people" live in conquering separation consciousness made that apparent. Scientist break things from the whole and study a portion. White man thinks he has to conquer and control others and earth, and that it is not possible to live in harmony.

I like seeing how one dream is like another dream (ie our waking and sleeping realities are equally dreamlike). I like thinking about how consciousness can be here or there or in more than one place at a time. I like how you can love a being, and ignore the form body they are in, loving what is inside of another for their essence. I love the tree of souls hearing prayers through connecting to the whole of Mother Earth. I loved flying on dragons!

Avatar is a truly beautiful movie and with food for thought.

The 3D IMAX version was all sold out today. We are going tomorrow, tickets already purchased! Wooo Hoooo, can't wait!

I just got back from watching Avatar.

There was two options -- 3D and IMAX. We went for the IMAX. We were 45 minutes early and it was already packed. We had to reserve a seat. My colleagues ended up sitting in the nose-bleed section, but I scored a single seat in the back.

I will never be able to watch a regular movie again! The experience was absolutely extraordinary.

I loved the movie.

Christmas was horrible. I spent it with some pretty annoying people that I just wanted to bitch-slap. It left me feeling really unfulfilled, disappointed, and empty. Haven't had any time to relax and connect to source in the past few days. I really wanted to feel the presence of source again.

As soon as the movie started playing, I became filled with excitement. Source was coming through loud and clear. Even before then -- they had a "laser light show" introduction that explained the IMAX experience. The special filmstrip they use, the special screen, and the amazing speaker setup. And I was just blown away.

Everything was so amazing.

The spiritual message is so clear. I think James Cameron really wanted to tell that story. And I think it's no coincidence that he waited for the 3D technology before wanting to share his message. He wanted it to be so out of this world, that everybody had to go see it. He wanted that message to reach everybody. Cameron is adding to the global consciousness shift.

(Talking about killing the natives to remove them from the land...) "There is only one thing that investors hate more than bad press, and that's losing money."

"What will we give them -- razor blades and blue jeans? These natives don't want anything we have."

The graphics were breathtaking. I love how everything glowed. It made the environment of Pandora feel so pure and divine.

Beautiful all around.

We ( Moriah 13, Andre' 7 and I ) went and saw the 3D movie last night (Christmas Day).

WOW!!! I have been thinking of the characters all night long. I feel like I know them! We laid in bed last night, and all shared our favorite parts with each other.

Andre's favorite part is the when the boy in wheel chair goes to sleep, and transforms to new person.

Moriah favorite part is the female pilot and her gutsy attitude and strength.

My favorite part is when he connected with the tree, and could hear and feel the trees.

I loved the mating part too. No ceremony. The connection is simply between 2 people.

The fairies, I loved all the fairies and bubbles, that floated around on the screen. So many images I saw on the screen are images I see in my head. It blew my mind!

So I found myself liking a classic good vs evil film with plenty of contrast: greedy oppressors, death and destruction, war.

Oh Yuck!:(

I've been reading some comments on imdb.com about Avatar. I'm impressed how many different perspectives there are about the movie.

Some people that 'hated it' (0 of 10 stars) say the story is a repeat of Pocahontas: a sailor from a distant world arrives on a planet, falls in love with a native girl and with nature, and now sees his people as evil.

Another person says, "hello, the fucking mountains are flying! And no one was researching that??? And how convenient that these flying mountains had waterfalls but no source of water like a river."

I found really powerful..the emotional ,spiritual themes running through it brought such a wonderful sense of focus for me....And the imagry ..well.it just gives an inkling as to how incredible it's going to be when games and films become virtual....Seeing it in 3D took me in to that world as close as any film ever has...yup ,nothing new about plot etc,but it was the over all feeling and immersion into that place....
And flying with the dragons was incredibly exhilirating.....It's touching people in that freedom/creative/knowing theres no limits part of us......
wonderful...:D:D:D:D:D:D.

Yep. The fight scene where he was killing the coyotes, I kept thinking -- this was more like being in a video game than watching a movie.

Leah,
Andre' is looking at your avatar. He wants to know if it is from movie? I said 'Yes'. He says, "I don't remember seeing that one!"

too cute, I thought I could fool him, instead of explaining you created it. Kids are so observant!!

'Avatar' earns a billion dollars, fastest ever (http://www.techie.com.ph/news/932)

http://www.techie.com.ph/images/articles/news/2010/01/avatar/main.jpg

What's blue, larger than life, and can take down the Titanic? Nope, not an iceberg but James Cameron's ground-breaking fantasy/sci-fi flick Avatar (http://www.techie.com.ph/reviews/880).
According to box-office analyst Chad Hartigan of Exhibitor Relations (http://www.exhibitorrelations.com/Public/LogFrame.aspx?testCookies=false), Avatar has made more than $670 million internationally and more than $352 million in the US in a mere 17 days since its debut. This brings the movie's box-office total to more than $1 billion dollars, making it the fourth biggest-grossing movie to date next only to Titanic (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=titanic.htm)with $1.842 billion, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=returnoftheking.htm) with $1.119 billion, and Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=piratesofthecaribbean2.htm) with $1.066 billion.
The figures, however, can still be disputed, as IMAX ticket prices are roughly two times more expensive than a regular theater's. That means despite reaching the billion-dollar mark, Avatar potentially has half the audience ofthe top three flicks.
In any case, it still shows that people are willing to spend a billion dollars on a sci-fi movie. If Avatar lasts for as long as two months in theaters as did Titanic, it has a real chance of sinking the unsinkable ship movie.
Make no mistake, James Cameron is the only person who can beat James Cameron.

I SAW IT IN 3D TOO =)
I wanted to cry from joy couple of times. Some tears did drop =) LOL
My first woaaah moment was when the woman wanted to kill him and that floating plant stopped her. It's like woooow... so beautiful... and she listened to nature. How great.

And of course there were thousands of spiritual messages but one most important LOVEEEE.

And didn't you love it when they said that in the VORTEX they couldnt attack them well because theyre machines wouldnt sense them =) hehehe =)

Funny things I've heard people say about Avatar:

"It made me want to move into the woods and worship the earth."

"Did James Cameron go to Burning Man?"

I'm definitely going to see it again! :)
