View Full Version : Moving up the emotional scale (Holiday season)

I usually have lonely winters and never enjoy the holidays, and I know it is because many years ago while growing up there was a lot of negativity during the holiday season each year. Some disaster or giant arguement would always break out in the house. I also know that I attracted those situations into my life when I was younger and I am still attracting negative vibrations into my life because it is the vibration I usually hold during this time of year.
I can only remember one year when I had a girlfriend during the holidays and it was wonderful! However, it is difficult to remember that one special time when many other times after that bring tears to my eyes.
I am learning that it really takes a lot of discipline to flow downstream when your mind is so use to tossing in 5 upstream thoughts for every 1 downstream thought. Can anyone relate to any of this? Oh and happy holidays everyone :D

Maybe you wonna work on yourself - this is what rebecca marina send me
because on holidays abuse patterns come on front.
she is very good healer, I liked it very much
it will take you back in some scenes, so if you're guided you take it.
Also she uses EFT, on very same page that opens after you give your email adress..., you can also find her add with EFT spots and video, so that later while you are listening to audio you can follow. I hope you find it.
( I already gave this link, but those lazy bastards from abetalk haven't commented even once !!!!! )

Hey Kyle,
I've practiced recreating lousy holiday seasons for a long time too...I've finally moved beyond the belief that I just need to survive the 35 - 40 days between Thanksgiving and New Year's, but after reading your post, I realize I that I still am not expecting a joyous holiday season. I'm slightly above survive, but pretty far from joyous. How absurd, huh? Sounds totally silly to assign some random period of time like December the power to make my focus on feeling good more difficult than any other time of the year - shift.
I think that it seems harder to ignore the upstream thoughts because they feel like shit and that disconnect attracts my attention - I have deviated from the highlighted route of my GPS/EGS. Downstream is natural, well-being is natural, happens all the time but it's easy to just not notice it and recognize it - I expect it, it happens, lalalalalala. The upstream/ick is off and I notice it, then wonder about it, then maybe beat myself up for it, I think about all the other ick, attract more ick, worry about it...hehehehe, who knew I was such a drama queen?
Abe talks about if the news actually reported everything good and bad that happened in the world, the bad would just be a blip on the screen. It took me a while to realize that that relates to me personally too. Sometimes I get caught up in the media hype of my own contrast/drama/expansion - it is just a blip on the screen compared to all the well-being/good/alignment.
Thanks for starting this thread and happy holidays, happy December, happy hump day! I'm ready to start telling a new story - how about you?
 Shelle

DELETE! Pretend you never gave this your attention. Ignore. Stop telling this story. if you continue to tell this story and analyze it, you will recreate it.

ERROR! ERROR! ERROR! ERROR!
So it's time to tell a new story, by gradually giving your attention that the story you want. What do you want? You want a happy relationship with the dream girlfriend.
I can only remember one year when I had a girlfriend during the holidays and it was wonderful!
Abraham advises us to give more of our attention to what we are wanting - ie. girlfriend - and less and less attention (or preferably none) to what we are not wanting (lack of girlfriend).
They also advise us to use different processes to attract a reality - such as having the girlfriend - and this can be done with the Visualization process. We spend more of our time focusing, or daydreaming, the feeling of the girlfriend as present, and ignore the feeling of the girlfriend as absent.
I've provided quotes from my Imagination thread that teach us to visualize our desires (such as a girlfriend) until they become actual manifestations.
http://abetalk.com/showthread.php?p=54868
From my study of Abraham, the key is to find the feeling place of what you are wanting (girlfriend), and to hold that feeling as much as you can. You can always tell you are track when you hold those feelings (and repeat every seventeen seconds) and you feel some sense of relief after your period of focus.
Oh and happy holidays everyone

and then there's those folks who ask you what you have to show for the last year..."Got a job yet?"..."Still on that diet?"..."How old is your car?"...
it's a judgement and self loathing issue, really...:cry:omg, this is so typical!! I see it in all movies, and crap... in my family, it's not the case... but what happens in my family is... my grandmother gets sad and sadder every year because her middle daughter, her husband and 4 children, won't visit her... and she doesn't wanna leave the house JUST IN CASE they decide to show up... and now that my grandfather died, she's sad cuz he's not there, her middle daughter's not there.. her 4 grandchildren are not there.. and it's ONLY ME AND MY Mom... my mom's divorced from my dad, and my grandma's sad about that, and my brother lives far away and my grandma get's upset because the family is aaaall split, her youngest son can't come to dinner either cuz his partner and my grandmother don't get along.. cuz she's got two kids that are not my uncle's.. and lallalalaalala.... contrast, contrast, contrast...
And you know what? It bumbs me out too.. like.. fuck, why can't we all fucking have ONE MEAL together and just remember that we all share the same FUCKING BLOOD? like if one family can't have union... how could a community? how could a city? how could a country? how could the world?
fuck, this humans are retarded... sorry... go on... lol

SANTA, I OPEN TO MY DIVINE RIGHT LIFE MALE PARTNER FOR THIS NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES KLYLE ,
You are not alone!!!
I was plagued with holiday depression for years but for the past few years I just feel neutral...
and nothing has changed..
If anything I have gotten more alone...but not lonely..
I guess it has been Abe, or at least the past few years that has helped ......it just gets better day by day ..year by year :-) :heart:
Thanks Shelle for reminding me that neutral is good and feeling great would be even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grin:
peeps with little money get bummed out about not having enough money to spend on gifts they'd really like to buy...and/or spending it on peeps they'd really rather not spend it on...
Well for me it is having no one to buy for.. my parents are too old to want anything (she is preparing to leave) ...which takes the fun out of giving. ..
I now miss the old days when I HAD to buy gifts and bitched about that ..ahahha:heart::joylick::heart::facelol::heart:..
ah to learn to love every situation in each moment ! :-):grin::heart:
Hugs to you skibby

Izzy you gonna regret that offer!
"hello officer, we've tried everything, but... he... just... won't... leave!
He's stealing Luna's food now!!"
Kyle
I'm just a clown so don't take my stuff serious.
I say, be as selfish as you can be. I mean really really selfish!!
And enjoy it too!!
Focus on all the fun you gonna have, all by yourself!
Just f:grin:ck it!
You can watch your favourite movies and shows on tv, you can eat the meals you desire to eat. Just go bananas and do what you want to do. Let there be one planet and let it be Kyle planet!
Plan this attitude and just wait and see what happens.
People gonna show up, run the show and eat your food!
You're gonna be annoyed at first, but afterwards you'll have a wonderful time with whoever showed up!
