I am about to go back to Canada. I have been in the US for 18 months but in 36 days, I will be moving back up north.

As we get ready to move, I told my husband I wanted a new couch for my new living room. He said that he didn't know if that was a good idea, since we will have some expenses getting our new house up to speed.

I thought, I could nag him until he says yes (we always consult each other for $$ spending decisions) or I could walk the path of least resistance, trust I will get my new furniture and go get happy about my life. So that I did.

This week we got a letter from the IRS saying we will get a $1,200 check in the mail. I don't know why and I really don't care. I am not a US citizen and I am so close to leaving that I have no idea why I am getting that money. I guess everybody gets a check? I am not sure but again, I don't care as long as I am getting one.

And guess what? My new furniture is exactly $1,200. My husband has already said yes!

Don't you love the Universe? I do!

You are Channeling furniture. Very nice.

I have a couch story. I found my father a free couch on craigslist. The person lived down the street from my dad's house and the couch was in good condition. My father didn't have a couch in his living room, and when I suggested he get one, he kept making excuses (money resistance). But free, he was more than happy to take it. It's fantastic when all the elements align like that.

This is so cool guys!

I swear to God, my husband JUST called out of the blue (he never calls me from work unless it is really important) to tell me we should go get the new furniture tomorrow!!!!

I am amazed!

Hey 11:11, cool story, free stuff is my favourite kind of stuff. We should meet sometime, I stop by Ottawa often when I drive up to visit my in-laws in Quebec City.
