From the outset, conventional filmmaking procedures involving endless meetings, tight schedules, strict budgets, deadlines and revisions were dispensed with in favour of powerful Secret processes such as intention, visualization, appreciation, gratitude and faith. Or more simply, the team would Ask, Believe, and Receive. As a result, right when the company was ready to begin production, as if by magic, the perfect people began to appear to help make The Secret. Suddenly the office was filled with brilliant, creative and talented people, all working to complete the most ambitious project any of them had ever worked on. Without exception, every single person was taught The Secret.

When the team arrived in the United States to film the living masters of The Secret, they only had one interview lined up. But they brought with them an entire crew, and the firm intention that they would film every person they needed for the film. Wherever the team went, more and more amazing teachers would emerge - great writers, leaders, philosophers, doctors, and scientists. A great way to change a limiting belief is to find evidence that proves your belief wrong and I'm sure you will get lots of that with your question here.

I have certainly manifested lots of things that I did not have to buy for myself. Often I will feel like a cup of coffee and someone will buy one for me. And then there are the bigger things like the huge check I received in the mail as a completely unexpected tax refund from years back which came just as I was 'wanting' to go to a seminar and did not have the money for it.

Money is energy.

(1) $5,000 on radio contest to pay for new roof on house.

(2) Cruise to Hawaii with family, sponsored by my parents (I said in June, "Hey, let's all go to Hawaii!" then promptly forgot about it. By Nov. we were all booked to go, had an awesome time sailing the Pacific in February!)

(3) My "new to me" Prius-- EXACTLY the car I envisioned at the right price.

(4) Trip to Las Vegas, airfare paid by employers, for Husband and me (next weekend-- woohoo!)

Below are but a few of the many things I've manifested in just the past year or year and a half:

- Fantastic trips to Morocco, Spain and Mexico, not to mention many shorter, domestic vacations. In fact I just got back this evening from a fabulous trip to Palm Springs, completely paid for!

-$50,000 inheritance gift last year.

- Just recently, manifested the career of my dreams, where I'm making twice what I expected in base pay, not to mention my commission, which will be in the six-digit figures! ::wow Plus I have the perfect work environment for me.

A few weeks ago I received a check in the mail for $8 and some change from my bank - I went ahead and changed the check to say $8,000.


Well I get a letter in the mail from school with my financial aid award and it is $8,760. I wasn't even expecting this letter for a couple more weeks. Here's what really had my jaw droping... it's $3,000 MORE than what I would usually get.

Actually, no word of a lie, my mom recently recieved a check from the government for $5,000 that she had and we still have no clue why, well except for the reason that we ALL can create this and so much more!!!

I so appreciated also being given $1,000 cash after their sweet manifestation, and I did not ask them for it either but I did ask the Universe for it just a few weeks before!!! Specifically that amount for whatver reason!

Manifesting a quarter was the first step to manifesting my first million.


July 1st is an important date for me. Almost 17 years ago, I put the principles of Attraction to a little test. I had known about the principles in one way or another since my preteen years, but I had never actually deliberately used them (perhaps not entirely true). However the outstanding success and education I received from this test set the platform for my next act, the far more ambitious manifestation of my first million dollars.

Early 1991 while out for lunch with friends from work, we got to talking about vacations and travelling. The summer before, I was between jobs and took an unusal vacation to work with an anthropologist in the American southwest desert. Out of this lunchtime banter, I got the inspired notion of buying a jeep and launching a big roadtrip from Toronto to Arizona. At this point, I had neither a driver's licence nor the money to buy a jeep, but I was smitten by the whole idea, and this was a great opportunity to deliberately have fun with the laws of attraction.

I figured out I needed about $5,000—in addition to the resources I already had— to buy a good used Jeep. So this was the test: I set out to manifest $5,000, but more specifically, to manifest $5,000 by July 1, giving me just enough time to buy the jeep before my scheduled vacation time started mid July.

To begin, I needed a few focussing processes. First, in my daytimer, I wrote at the top of every day's page 'July 1st, $5,000'. Secondly, everyday I visualized for about fifteen minutes myself hitting the desert highways in my jeep (always accompanied by music, something which I find intensifies visualization and the emotions).

Inspired action is the part of the manifesting process

Things were feeling good. I was regularly getting that light and bubbly feeling that something good was going to happen.

One day I was over for dinner with my girlfriend at her sister's. Her sister, Pat, told me she had cut something she found in the newspaper for me, thought I might be interested. Pat had found a notice from the Canadian government's mint publicizing a competition for the design of special edition Canadian quarters, and the winning cash prize was $5,000.

This moment was pure magic. I recognized what it was, this opportunity was a stepping-stone manifestation. And it gets even better. Because as soon as I consciously connected with the newspaper notice, an image of the winning design flashed in my mind. It gives me shivers just writing about this. I didn't have to think about it, essentially the winning design was delivered on a silver platter.

After I returned home, it was only a matter of an hour that I had completed my competition submission and mailed it.

Then the nature of my visualization changed, now I was focussed on winning the $5,000. Because I knew that I could be vulnerable to believing that I had to beat a thousand aspiring coin designers to win (which according the principles of the Law, is nonsense!), I developed a visualization 'script' that took that in account.

My visualization went something like this: I pictured far in front of me this big bulls-eye target attached to a tree. Around me were a thousand silhouetted figures of competitors, each with a bow and arrow aimed at the target. I too was also aiming an arrow at the target, exept my arrow was greatly enhanced: my arrow was essentially a nuclear-powered missle. And so, everyday, for about ten to fifteen minutes, I envisioned (in slow motion) my arrow slicing through a shower of competitors' arrows, precisely nailing the target far before any other arrow had a chance.
Over and over.

July 1st finally came— and went. Nothing happened. However, I remember my mindset as that day ended: I was entirely unfazed, I didn't give it any thought, I was feeling good.

Then on July 6th, I was working away at the office when I was notified there was a call for me. I walked over and picked up the phone, 'hello?'. It was a representative from the Royal Canadian Mint announcing that I had successfully won the competition. The first order of business, she explained, was that I would be recieving a couriered check for $5,000 the next morning.

And what about the July 1st milestone coming and going without a sound? It seems that the decision to select my entry was made on the 1st, however I was only notified five days later.

One year later (after having the best three weeks of my life travelling desert highways with my jeep), I found myself in a posh Toronto hotel room. It was the night before the public unveiling of my newly-minted coin (they minted 14-million of them!), and I was writing my thoughts in a journal: if I can manifest $5,000, why not a million?

Unbelievable is achievable

When we arrived in the city where my father lives, I had the idea to stop into a local bank and do SOMETHING to get my credit card debts reduced. I had an old savings account - it was like my secret life's savings. I bit the bullet and took $5000 of my life savings to help reduce a credit card bill. This was a huge decision for me, but I just released it from my savings to the bill, and it felt good. I kept telling myself positive thoughts like the book had outlined. I said, I am a money magnet, I receive money all the time, I have so much money!

We had a lovely visit with my Dad. The kids and I enjoyed the ice cream cake with him, and he just LOVED the card we had chosen for him. When it was time to leave to return home, my Dad handed me a compact brown envelope with his bank's logo on it, and said "This is for you." I thanked him not knowing what it was.

Later, I looked inside the bag to see a thick stack of $100 bills. I was speechless. I counted out the bills - FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! The exact amount of my life savings that I had released only a few hours earlier and it had come back into my life the very same day! I phoned my Dad to thank him and told him of The Secret book and all the day's events. I asked him, how did you decide on $5000, why $5000? He calmly replied that the human mind is a powerful thing!

Two days later, after writing myself a check from the Universe, my grandmother gave me a check for $2000 to spend on myself. I needed a new car and so I cut out a picture of a Dodge Calibre and pasted it on the window so it looked like it was in my driveway when I did the dishes. As a joke, I applied for some low income loans. Usually I am rejected but I opened my account and the money was there. And now the car really is in my driveway!

I do feel like a millionaire, I honestly do, and it shows! I smile all the time, I'm happy, I feel great! I believe that I actually am a Money Magnet!
