Robert Young -- connect to source, not by thought

Here is a quote of Robert Young saying that you do not create using thought. In fact, connecting to source is even simpler than that!

You have to go back to where you can actually make a difference.

It's not by THOUGHT. Because thought is the end result of the energy and the focus that you've been under. You've attempted all your life to move that beam, and you can't move it from where you are.

So the inner part of you has to see that there's another way. And the other way can be so simple, because all you have to see is that you have to be in a different focal plane to make a difference. Whenever you're in the focal plain of discussion, of results, of disaster, you can't move anything in the consciousness. Because the consciousness is back up at source.

I think he uses the term focal plain to describe shifting ones focus from the play world (http://abetalk.com/showthread.php?t=4987) to the world of the creator (http://abetalk.com/showthread.php?t=4987).

In this part of the video, he was showing the guest how to create the changes he wants to see in his life. The guest wanted to show his daughter she didn't have to go to war, people didn't have to fight, there was a better way for world harmony. Robert says it's a vision he is sending out to, not just his daughter, but to the whole world. He tells the guest that he'll have to deliver that vision to source, through his heart, for the changes he wants to come about.

At first, Robert is working energetically on this guest to get him vibing along the lines of "yeah, I know it's possible". And the final piece is when he gets the guest to recognize (which is what he means by -- all you have to see) that while he is focused in the play world, these changes cannot come about. He will have to shift his focus to the world of the creator so that he can deliver his vision to source and to the world.

And the way you do that, shift your focal plain, is by recognizing the need itself to shift your focal plain.

Yesterday my son (7) was having a temper tantrum. I thought, ok, let's apply this information and see what I can do.

I closed my eyes, asked for the brain to receive 100% of it's power to connect to source, and I visualized my entire head open and fire like energy going upward.
I could still hear my son screaming. I just kept my eyes closed feeling the connection, I asked Source to help my son feel his connection.

Within seconds, I heard a voice, say, go read him a book. I popped up, went to his room (he was laying on floor crying). I laid on his bed and said, want me to read you a book? He popped up, jumped on bed, listened to 2 books, then fell right to sleep.

It was so odd, like book was code word for, you are loved, all is well, it is ok.

When I heard the voice say go read a book, I found my first reactions was to argue. In my head, I thought... a book? no way, that won't work!
It is funny, I felt a little disrespectful as I wanted to argue for my or his limitations.

When it unfolded so easily and effortlessly, it made me see the importance of trusting those little suggestions we hear. It feels likes part of the remembering lies in the trusting. His work reminds me so much of ME.

That Robert Young video was the first I watched since joining this site and I have become a huge fan of his!
