Guest is wanting to know how to better hear her “guidance”.
Guest: The thing I would like to know is how to interpret vibration better. So that… even how to get better at it. How to get more specific words for myself.
Abraham: It’s interesting because those who try to channel (the word that is often used for this process) often turn upstream because in the trying they’re aware that they’re not. So the fastest way to improve what you’ve got going on is to feel appreciation for what you’ve got going on. But that’s sort of the way it is with all things, isn’t it? When you acknowledge that you’re doing well enough… in other words, it is the attitude of making peace with where you are… with feeling appreciation for the guidance that you have, is always what makes your guidance keener and your receptivity keener.
The guidance… let’s be clear about that…this is very good… The guidance is always superb, supreme, in fact could not be better. Your awareness of it is what you’re all working on. And so can you feel how appreciation for what you are hearing would help you hear more? Concern about what you’re not hearing would keep you from hearing even more. So it’s appreciation for the guidance that is coming.
Guest: I’m trying to do it right now. Right now its hard to just…
Abraham: It’s not possible to do it right now because you are in the asking mode. In other words, and this is a very good thing for you to ask here… we’ll talk about this because this is the most important thing for anyone who is wanting to increase their reception in a situation like this. Remember that step 1 is ask, and that life experience causes you to do that. Step 2 is source answering, that’s not your work. Step 3 is, you must then be in the vibrational allowing mode to receive what you’re asking for.
So, when something has happened and you have a keen question that is evoked from the situation… you’re in step 1. Source will take care of the step 2. But to get into the receiving mode you can’t be in the asking of the question mode. Think about it… when you have a problem and you’re really focused on the problem… you’re not in the mode where you could receive the answer. So when the question is really loudly pulsing within you… you’re in step 1, when you need to be in step 3 before you can really hear. So it helps, even Esther today, as much as she has been receiving us for all of these years… When she has something that is important for her to understand, where life has caused a question to form within her… she has to put some separation between her vibration of the question and her vibration of the answer. Usually she expresses her question to Jerry and then puts herself in a meditative state where she breaks the “evil spell” of her disconnection… and then once she’s back in alignment… then she can hear the answer… and then she usually has a conversation with Jerry after the fact, you see.
So just remember that step 1 and step 3 are two different steps and don’t try to be in the asking and the receiving mode at the same time.
Guest: And <snip> appreciate how it is and it’s going to get better as I go along.
Abraham: You see what happens is, since you’re asking the questions, or asking for the solutions, or asking for the insight or the direction…and since your Source within you knows the perfect path, knows the answer to all the questions and the solutions to all the problems… when you spend your time basking and doing your best to allow… then at the perfect moment in time Source will provide the answer to you either through words or through some demonstration of some kind. In other words, the answer cannot come in the middle of the consternation over the question or the problem… but it can be revealed to you. In fact, you’ll get so good at your expectation of this that sometimes your answers can come so close to the time of the forming of the question that there’s hardly a gap between wondering and knowing. Your solutions can come so close to the time of the awareness of the problem that you don’t even realize you have a problem.
Jerry and Esther had two incidences with their bus in the last month or so where the solution came even before they were aware of the problem. They left San Antonio and they always drive fast and hard that first day because there is a restaurant they want to get to by the end of that day. And it’s 700 miles away. So they have to get up early and drive long to get there, but it’s worth it.
So they’re moving across the Texas desert and they’re feeling wonderful, out on the open road, it’s a beautiful day, they’re having a very good day. And Jerry said to Esther: “What do you think about stopping early today at this place in Van Horn?” Now Van Horn is a little Texas town where there is nothing there much. But there is an RV park and a nice little restaurant and a little Main Street. So when Jerry proposed that Esther thought it felt like a wonderful idea. Which was odd because it was not their plan and not what they usually do and it would mean that they would miss their dinner at this wonderful restaurant. And Esther said: “I think it is a wonderful idea.”
So they stopped early, took a walk, had a nice dinner, went to bed early. And when they awakened in the morning… Esther started the big diesel engine on this monster bus and the engine was making a terrible terrible sound. A screaming sound. And when Jerry went out to look… not only was it screaming, but it was smoking. And so, what could have possibly happened between the time we stopped and the time we’re ready to go? We’ve just been sitting here resting in the night? So they called the Marathon Prevost Hotline and were told that they would have to find a mechanic nearby because they could not diagnose it over the telephone. And Jerry asked the man at the RV park what he would suggest. And he said there is a wonderful mechanic on this same block.
And so they called Raul, who came and looked at their engine, and diagnosed that there was a pulley about the size of a can of tuna fish, that had frozen up and was not turning and the belt was screeching over it causing the sound and the smoke. But they could not drive because without this pulley the belts could not turn the turbo and so the pulley was important. And they were told by the manufacturer of the bus that they could get it there by Tuesday. This is Thursday. So they would have a long uncomfortable wait and they needed to be someplace.
So Raul said: “Let me take a look at this.” And he takes the big belts off, and pulls the pulley off, and “maybe I can fix it” he says. And he takes it to his table and opens it up and all the ball bearings have frozen up. “I cannot fix it” he says. “But I know a parts house in El Paso, it will take me two hours to get there and two hours to come back but I might be able to find the part.” So Esther looked at him and at his truck and she thought: “we will never see you again.” This truck did not look like it would go that far. And Raul, sensing man that he is, looked at Esther and said: “I’ll take mama’s truck.” And true to his word – he was gone two hours, picked up the part, and two hours later he was back. He replaced the part and now they are on their way.
Jerry and Esther know that moving parts have a way of wearing, but they have come to understand that the timing of such things can be guided. In other words, in their Vibrational Escrow was the understanding that that pulley was about to freeze up. It was even in the process of doing it – it’s only because it was hot that it didn’t freeze up while they were driving the earlier day. And so the broader part of them knew, not only that that part was going to fail, but they knew that Raul knew where to get the part, and Source knew where Raul was. And so Source gave Jerry and Esther the impulse to stop very near to where Raul was. And because they were tuned in tapped in turned on, because they were going with the flow, because they were in love with life and each other, when they received the impulse… because of the extraordinarily wonderful way that it felt… they knew it was the right decision you see.
And so, we know that you want to hear the words in your ear… and you can. We’re just saying to you – follow your bliss, follow the feelings that feel good… and you will be guided right to resolutions and solutions and answers and fortunes and lovers and all manner of things that you want. If you are never able to translate one word into a vocabulary – it does not matter. The feeling will guide you.
Guest: Why does a ball bearing fall apart in the life of someone who’s so on the path like Esther and Jerry are?
Abraham: Because in the physical world in which you live there is inertia and friction and gravity and things wear out. Are you suggesting that you should be of the physical world but different from it?
Guest: (silence) (some audience laughter)
Abraham: In other words, things do wear out – don’t they?
Guest: They do.
Abraham: And so which do you think is the fastest way for you to resolve that? To change the structure of the physics of the world in which you are living so that things do not wear out? Or to just tune in so that you have answers to questions before you have questions… or solutions to problems before you have problems.
Guest: It would probably be easier to just have a solution before the problem.
Abraham: Much easier. That’s part of going with the flow too, isn’t it? Not resisting the physical nature of this physical time-space reality, but understanding it, and benefiting from it.
Guest: That’s the…. A lot of the New Age Movement is about using your mind to change things. But I guess what you’re saying is using our mind to change how we are, regardless of how the thing itself is. And then the thing itself will change too.
Abraham: Perfectly stated – we think you are channeling.
