:-| Not me, it's my Mom. I am only an innocent bystander. She is preparing to transition. But of course, she doesn't see it that way. :(

Perhaps you can pivot towards appreciating them and therefore liking them, eh?

The people there are simply doing their best from where they are at developmentally. It's true that those places seem to be ignorant of causes and only focus on symptoms, but it all comes down to placebos in disguise. People generally get better at hospitals because they believe in the medicines and the uniforms and the machinery with its blinking lights and graphs.

Plus, alot of the people that work there really do want you to get well. They treat you like family if you let them.

Focus on the wellness and/or the comfortable transitions. Focus on the genuine love from the kind-hearted nurses and doctors.

Don't focus on the stench of illness and screams of agony. There is FAR more wellness and recovery going on than there is pain or deterioration.

I'm speaking as a former hater of hospitals!XD

Thanks my sistas!

Thanks Skibby. Actually this is exactly where I have been all day. The hospital here is amazing. The people are amazing (nurses, doctors, volunteers, everybody really). Even the food is amazing. XD My niece goes to visit at meal-time, so she can eat their food. I could even take Mom's dog to see her, if she had a dog. ^^ Maybe I'll take my dog to see her.
It's just the transitioning thing that's getting to me. Not my thoughts of transitioning, but hers. I wish I could ease her mind. We have been talking a lot about it and I've been candid with expressing my beliefs. I think she appreciates it; I spoke with Dad about it before he went and she has been glad to hear what we spoke about at that time (almost 14 years ago).

Anyway, I'm good. Just spending 7 hours in the ER yesterday got to me. That "in your face" thing. She'll probably get to go home in the morning. I expect we'll have a bit more time to work it out.

Love you all!

 Thanks. I guess I should update. Mom didn't go home. She was in the hospital for a week then sent to a nursing home. It's not looking like she's going to be able to go home. This is quite a ride I'm on. :ugh:

Love you guys.
