So here's an idea: Every day (or whenever!), I (or anyone!) will post a category, and you have to go search for a picture of your favorite!



Here's how to play:

1. Post your pic

2. Identify (title) it below

3. Make a numbered list of 5 (or more!!) reasons why it's your favorite (positive aspects). The point is to appreciate until you feel movement within you, until you better than you just felt.

I love my cat (a persian) because
1) She is such a missy queen, wants it her way (just like me)
2) She gives little winks whenever she's happy
3) She can meeow sooo annoying, makes me proud
4) She sometimes still runs like a young itty, even though she's kinda old
5) She isn't afraid of William's cat, and even I am afraid of him.

Adam Lambert

1. He's smart, it's clear from his interviews and his performances that he's no airhead, far from it

2. He's spiritual-- talks about energy and positive thinking and love, seems TiTiTo-- anyone that successful has to be in alignment with their dreams

3. He's confident and willing to be himself-- he came out as gay, he wears the clothes he likes, he's open about his views and his past, he doesn't care what others think

4. He's kind and composed-- can tell from interviews, and my cousin (also a singer) met him and said he is THE nicest guy

5. His singing is so emotive and comes from the heart and makes you feel it, he is a great actor and performer and focuser

6. Although he wants to be an example to kids who feel different from others, he says he is most excited to just live the rock star style life with lots of money and a nice house and amazing fasion, etc. In other words, he is selfish and unashamed about it.

7. Yes, of course, he's sexy! But that one's obvious.

I'll jump in here. :grin: I couldn't decide on my favorite dog. My favorite dog is my current dog, the labrador retriever (yellow), but I have lots of favorites. Missed the favorite celebrity day (have to think about that one. :scratch:).

Green is so soothing.

Day 4 - Favorite Bird

I just discovered this one at the National Aviary this summer-- it's a fluffy a** chicken!! Hahaha I never knew these existed, but I immediately wanted one.

They come from China where they are raised for food. I forget what they are called. Unfortunately these birds were behind a glass enclosure, or else the aviary may have found themselves short a hen or two after I left... I took these pics.

Blissful Creator, Pink and Grey Galahs live in Australia. I'm not sure if they are native anywhere else. They are a type of parrot, like cockatiels and budgies (parakeets). We have them feeding in the grass in our parks and road verges, and when there is a whole flock on the ground they're very pretty. They can also fill a tree so that it looks like it's covered in pink flowers. I'm sorry I didn't post a photo as I'm totally useless on the computer and don't know how to. :confused:

Mspositive, ahh I see now-- they're Australian birds! I guess that's why I'm not too familiar with them (although I did take an Australian Geography class a couple years ago; we didn't cover birds, lol). And cadbury chocolate sounds yummm.


As for copying pictures, why do you guys do it so complicatedly? I just right click on the photo, click "copy," come back to the Abe post window, right click in the text box (where I'm writing now), and select "paste."

Nancy, mmm Pina Colada sounds good. I do like coconut milk. Maybe forum member Pina has some extras lying around? XD

Leah, I love sushi too...there are actually so many foods I really love. I love that there is so much variety that I can choose what sounds good in the moment!

I do love a family recipe for devil's food cake though. It is super dense and moist and you can just smell the cocoa...mmmmmm....

I love it because it reminds me of some of the happiest moments of my childhood - "Ron's Devil's Food Cake" was something we all loved and we'd eat it for breakfast and dessert until it was gone :D

I love it because I've never had any other cake that was this moist, ever

I love it so much I knew the recipe by heart by the time I was 3 and actually put it in our pre-school recipe book (missed the temperature of the oven...I new it had to be "high" to get hot enough to cook - I guessed 60 degrees - the age of my grandpa - ha)

I love it because even though I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen, it always turns out perfectly even if I go years in between making it

Tai, I think I have heard about Peter the Wolf but never saw it. I looked it up in the Wikipedia link, and did you know it was made into a Disney short film? LOL you can't get away from Disney XD It looks like fun! And I like music to go along with stories. Is this a popular play for Netherlandish (<-- is that the right word?) children to go to?


Ana, I looove the Little Mermaid, too! I haven't seen it in so long though, I'd like to watch it again (minus the scary Ursula parts-- I'm less tolerant to that stuff than I was at age 6, lol). In fact, that is the first movie I remember going to in the theater. I had a crush on Prince Eric ^^


Adal, of course you can join! Anyone is welcome to jump in at any time. I agree, Finding Nemo is amazingly wonderful. I think I've seen it like 4+ times. It was absolutely gorgeous to look at, all that beautiful underwater scenery. And Dori IS such an Aber, and very funny, too (thanks also to Ellen Degeneres). - My hands-- with fine motor control, my hands are talented and dexterous, enabling me to paint and draw really well. I appreciate touching soft things, especially furs, handfulls of sand, marbles, etc. My hands enable me to create beautiful things in this world
- I appreciate my mouth/throat. Visually, I appreciate my lips-- they are full and pretty and I have a nice smile. And my teeth are in beautiful form. And I appreciate my voice, being able to sing. One of my greatest pleasures, singing. I love to sing. I appreciate my mouth and vocal chords and etc. for allowing me to vocalize.
- I appreciate right now my fingernails! They are painted beautifully by me in a lovely shade of dark shiny red, and they look so professionally done, I like looking down at them
- I appreciate my hair, I used to not like curly hair, but once I learned how to properly style it, I appreciate it for it's beauty and uniqueness and fullness. I like the color of my hair, again, because it is unique, and shiny, and goes well with my skin

My favorite body parts:
I love my eyes - not only windows to the soul, but I love how they look - big and brown with a nice shape, long eyelashes, sparkly when I'm excited and happy they almost laugh on their own.

I love my legs - not only do they work well getting me where I need to go, letting me try new things physically but they are really long with a nice shape

I love my fingernails - sounds silly, but they are long and strong - other people work hard to achieve long natural looking nails and I just have them! Sometimes I like painting them colors, but mostly just keep them natural because I'm always using my hands and hate to wait for the color to dry (my toes are for colors - I can paint them then kick back on the couch and read AbeTalk while they dry - ha)

I love my skin! The way it feels, the way it covers my body and has stayed so soft and youthful, the darker color than the rest of the family that I likely inherited from my native American grandmother and maybe the Hungarian in me - I can spend time in the sun without burning.

I love my smallish breasts - they are sensitive and perky and perfect! When I was younger I wished for larger breasts, but I love that they haven't changed or sagged and when I am wearing something and want cleavage they have wonderful bras that push them up and give me cleavage :facelol: but I don't have to be strapped into a bra to give them support when just hanging out and being comfortable.

Favorite music genre:
Totally depends on my mood - I have problems picking "favorites" and my iPod has a wide variety :grin:

Favorite drink:
Again - mood and time of day dependent!
I love coffee drinks - lattes, espressos, regular coffee (hmmmm...need to go make some!)

Halloween!
1. I love Halloween! I love the candy! As a kid I adored going trick or treating, usually with my cousin. We'd come home with bags and pillowcases heavy with chocolates (mmm, Reeses), bubble gum, lollipops, etc.
2. I love decorating for Halloween! I cannot wait to own a house in a neighborhood where lots of kids come to get candy. I cannot wait to be able to decorate my house with playful images, and lights, and window stickers and fake tombstones in the yard, and maybe some not-too-scary music, etc.
3. I always liked the excitement of dressing up in a costume and applying makeup
4. When I used to go trick or treating, I always liked seeing everyone's houses decorated for the occasion, and the surprise of never knowing what candy they would have for you!
5. I loved getting back to my cousin's house all tired out from running around and emptying my bag of candy on the carpet and sorting it out.
6. I look forward to the day when I will have my own house to decorate, and i will buy nice big candy bars to give the kids, and dress up in something funny-looking and cool.
7. Best about Halloween is the excitement of it coming up.
8. I also like the creativity of it-- lots of arts and crafts, pumpkin carving, house decorating, creative foods for parties, costumes, the festivity, etc.

Hmm.. I dunno much about all the frequencies and what they mean, so I'm just gonna post my favorite number, which is 4. Dunno why, I just like it!

Favorite parts of my body

1. My eyes. They have a nice shape, and I love that they change colors. Sometimes they are green, other times they are blue, other times they are grey. I also love the little brown/yellow bit that surrounds my pupil. Like little suns.

2. My smile. I love my lips, they have a pretty shape and color. I also love that I have very white teeth.

3. My hair. I love that I am not so vain anymore, so that I can just cut it myself rofl It's so easy, it grows fast, and I can do everything with it. I also love the color of it.

4. My ass. It's not too small, not too big. Just perfect actually.

5. My shoulders. They are very feminine, not girlish, but like a woman, very elegant. Can't explain it better, but I love them :grin:

I love learning about the world, and seeing it, and hearing about it, and imagining going to these places, etc. I know I will one day go all throughout the world and try beautiful delicacies and stay in 5-star hotels and dine in the greatest of restaurants. So it is so nice to dream! I saw a program on giant yachts the other day. I paid particular attention, because I was determining whether or not I wanted to buy one sometime in the future (not whether I could buy one, whether I wanted one)

Okay, this was fun! I felt myself go into some good-feeling vibrations, so I did what I hoped I could do :)

I love fall days when it is cooler than summer but still warm in the sun during the day and chilly enough for blankets and fleece sheets which are so soft and cozy!

I love the turning color of the leaves and all of the brilliant colors!

I love Thanksgiving and Halloween and my birthday - all fall holidays :D

I love being able to wear suede high heeled boots - something of a challenge once the snow is in full force :facelol: I love shoes in general, but I really have some great boots and not all of them are particularly easy to wear in the dead of winter.

I love the cozy feeling of fall - snuggling under soft blankets watching movies, warm soothing drinks, breaking out the crock pot and making "comfort food."
