View Full Version : Staying in the Vortex....

Hi y'all....I went to the Abe workshop in Orlando this weekend and it was pretty good! Heard a LOT of things I've never heard before.
One thing Abe mentioned that struck me is that the Vortex keeps spitting us out once we are in it. But Abe never really explained why that was. Do you think it's because we need the contrast in order to launch ourselves back into the Vortex? Is it to help our appreciation and to get back into the Vortex?
Sorry if this sounds really elementary...

Not so much elementary, Jen, as a not enough information. Sometimes things just pop out with Abe without all the details you'd like...
BUT, my guess is that the vortex is a constantly evolving cluster of in and out. You add, you throw out, as you expand. Some things that fit now will not fit later. You're always adding, you're always getting and achieving, you're always discarding what no longer fits the person you've come to be.
Just an educated guess.
BTW, if you have more from the show, I for one would love to hear about it.
Thanks.

Dave, fancy meeting you here again...Italy good?
This may not answer your query ,Jen ,but Someone (carol) on the forum said this at the end of a post ,
One more thought. They made a point, and this resonated strongly with me, that we should get used to getting thrown out of the vortex and to not panic or feel guilt or push against it. That this is the reason we are here. Get in, get thrown out by contrast, and easily and smoothly get back in. In and Out, in and out. This is the game of life and that soon we will find ourselves getting so smoothly back in that we will ABSOLUTELY RELISH getting thrown out so that we can feel the deliciousness of getting back in. They drove this point home, by rubbing their hands together and pretending to relish molding something in their hands.

At the San Antonio workshop in April, Abe/Esther spoke of this very thing.
She said "being spit out of the vortex" is a handy visual but it's not quite accurate. The heart of the matter, she said, is simply that the vortex will not hold any out-of-the-vortex vibrations within it, so when you have those kinds of feelings, you are actually taking yourself out of the vortex.
I have the CDs in the car, and I can pull them out and get you an exact quote if you really, really want it, but what I wrote above is the jist of it.

I'm glad this question has come up..They talked about it a lot in Mexico and the repeating of the fact that it's absolutely natural to go in and out and to relish the getting back in instead of dreading being out gets it in deeper into our little noggins and hearts.....

YES!! Thank you Steve! This is exactly what I was looking for....so it is a GAME! Makes so much sense now....
Dave: There was one interaction Abe had with a woman whose son had tried to commit suicide but failed. She felt that she was able to will her son to live simply by trying to transfer her energy into him. Abe explained that energy does not work that way--that we cannot will anything upon anyone. It was the son's own will to live that caused him to get better.
There was also a major interaction with a man that basically said that he wanted money, but didn't want to work for it. In the same breath, he mentioned a letter he sent to Esther and Jerry asking to come work for them!! Abe said, "Why would they hire someone who says they don't want to work for money?" It stunned the man and elicited a huge response from the audience. At the moment I can't remember what else was said about that, but it took up almost the whole first session.
As I remember more, I'll share it.

Thanks, Jen. The information just seems to get better each year. Returning participants post the most interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing. I owe a lot of people an attendance and a report myself.

Thanks for the shared insight as always, Steve.
In answer to your question, if southern Italy, from Naples through Amalfi, isn't heaven, then you can definitely see it from there.

The way I see it, it is impossible to stay in the vortex because the vortex keeps moving. That is, I keep adding to it and have to keep up with it.
Life is never dull. rofl

From what I gathered, Esther once made a pledge of some sort to get in the Vortex and never come out. Also I'll never forget their "sterness" with the quad on the live web cast event....get in the Vortex...period!
But it now seems like the teaching is in and out of the Vortex, the Vortex expands and moves ahead, step one is needed and blessed....no longer get in and stay in no matter what!
Has Infinite Intelligience changed its mind? or realized that we are not as yet ready to give up control of the uncontrolable?
Anyone else notice this? any thoughts?
Anyone know what the heck I am talking about?

Words have limits, Flo, and in the exchange between Esther and Abraham over the years, it seems they try a lot of different metaphors and visuals to try to present complex ideas. The fits not always perfect and sometimes may seem to conflict.
In this situation, I remember the old get in the vortex push, but there has always been the flow, too, and expansion and contrast. Nothing stays the same. The current urging is in the with new good stuff, out with the old or bad stuff. We just keep moving. I see it as a way of mental tuning. The strings get out of perfect pitch, then you adjust to nudge them back toward perfect, then over time, they get out of tune again and on and on. I've always thought of it more like a perfect musical note, rather than a vortex. Inside that perfect musical note is the perfection of all you want to be and have.
My take on it anyway, Flo. I hope I've been clear.

Thanks Crane....music, on so many levels, is a wonderful analogy when speaking of the world of vibration. I like what you're saying here because there is a simple acceptance that yes, part of the process is the tuning, is the adjustment.....it is all works together in harmony, even the discordant and off-key notes.
All is well....even in step one.
It's all go(o)d.
