Hey I just ordered this book on amazon.com has anyone read it?

Here's an excerpt from a review on amazon that piqued my interest:

"...He notes that what is missing from all the current talk about the Law of Attraction (due to the success of The Secret) is God...

In this book, he explains God's role in the process of personal creation. He notes that the ability to create your reality is an expression of God. He says the process really has 3 parts: the first has to do with God, the second has to do with you, and the third with you and God together. He then expounds on how personal creation really works...

This is a very powerful book that I would recommend to anyone wishing to experience happiness within a spiritual context!"

If you get a chance check the book out & read the intro to the book on amazon (using the search inside function) & tell me what you think! I know Neale is friends with Esther & Jerry cuz he wrote a brilliant introduction to "The Law Of Attraction, The basics of the teachings of Abraham" so I wonder if this is an Abe inspired book?

Here's the link 2 check it out:

I've noticed that happiness is becoming a hot topic! FINALLY! I just finished reading "Happy for no reason" by Marci Schimoff of the Secret & I have pre-ordered 'Why Is God Laughing?: The Path to Joy and Spiritual Optimism by Deepak Chopra' on amazon as well. I think Abe's joyful message is rubbing of on other spiritual teachers & self help authors. Let the happiness epidemic begin!

I haven't read this book, but I have read his Conversations with God, part I and II. I was too lazy to read part III.

The CWG series are very good and I'd love to se the movie he made. It tells the story of how he starts having this conversations with God and how the bools were made.

Let us know what you think of the book. I really like Neal Donald Walsh.

Thanks for the heads up about this book Shari. I looked it up on the amazon link and read the excerpt and having read many of Neale's books I think I have an idea where he's headed with it. I think it is perfect for starting a happiness epidermic though. It seems to be geared at a public that still beleives in Bible God and it is nice to have options that propose other ideas of embracing God.. It should have some nice insights that could help you along your path.

I know we love Abe and all though but I feel that these ideas belong to all of us. They are inside of each and everyone of us and the best thing is because we are so unique we all give it a different slant as it comes out of us. I would so much rather have people who have already started to discover their power digging inside of themselves for the answers rather than go out buying the latest book by the latest guru. You have such a wealth of treasure inside of you, you know and your unique flavour, that unique Shariness, that is what you're here for. To shout it out and let it out and have all of us applauding in amazement at how wonderful you are.

Books are nice, but those treasures that you have to unlock inside of you are so much nicer. Have fun with the books but don't forget that you have more amazing insights inside of you.

I think I have some resistance surrounding Neale and some of the other 'gurus' because they have this way of packaging their information in such a way that it feels like they are in on some big secret and buying their books will change your life, but it is as if one book is not enough, you have to get the next book and the next book. I love that Esther and Jerry have chosen to have a lot of the Abraham information available to the public free of charge and Abraham constantly reminds you that you already have all the information worth knowing, most of what they do with the books is to tweak the ideas a little so you understand them better but the bottom line is you come out feeling like you have all the answers. With Neale and some of the others I feel that sometimes the marketing gets in the way. Its just a feeling but it feels good to let it out

Re: the film, "Conversations with God." It was about NDW's life, but it was so, so Upstream for me. It seemed to focus slmost entirely on the homeless and jobless period, and had almost nothing (for me) about the principles he had learned, nor did it work in a way for him to do a little expounding of the principles.

The interesting thing to watch was how the screenwriters chose to focus on how Walsh used his Irish charm and wit to get women to give him opportunites to improve his fortunes.

You'd think that the film would have gone more in the direction that "What the Bleep" started to go in-----how change of thoughts can change you life. After all, the themes of all the CWG books, was "Choose a better-feeling thought." It would have been MUCH more inspiring if the film could have demonstrated how changing his thoughts moved him up a continuum into wealth and success.

At the end, it has thoughts for discussion groups that were totally focused on "solving the problems of the homeless." ZERO Deliberate Creation in that.......
