Hi all
I used to write a lot, mostly poems, and I also once started writing a book. At that time I was facing a lot of contrast, and writing about it made me feel better in a way. The text itself was pretty upstream, and I stopped when I got into Abe etc. because then I had the belief that it wasn't good for me to spend more time thinking or writing about those things.
But I always really enjoyed writing, and I think at times I was good at it. So I was thinking about starting again.
Then I thought about where I wanted to write about, and only the contrast I dealt with came up. For some reason it inspires me more to write about that than to write about happy things... That's kinda weird maybe.
And actually, I want to bring a happy spin to it. Not like 'and I lived happily ever after' or something, but just something else. And that's my question I think.. I feel the inspiration, I have some ideas, but they just not get form completely. So guys, creative types here, how do YOU get your inspiration, and how do you 'decide' what form it gets?
Leah, where do you write about? Or is that too personal? And have you (or others) ever felt that writing about shitty things 'feels' better than writing about nice things?
Just wondering...
