I love E. Tolle so I thought it might be fun to create a space where I can share his quotes:
"Accept the present moment and find the perfection that is deeper than any form and untouched by time. The joy of being - which is the only true happiness - cannot come to you through any form, possession, achievement, person or event, through anything that happens. The joy cannon come to you ever, it emanates from the formless dimension within you, from consciousness itself and thus is one with who you are."

Interviewer: Can the now make me rich?
Eckhart: Yes. Now what does it mean to be rich? Its not what people think it is, It's not to have lots of possessions, that may be one aspect of being rich. Rich means to be in touch with the fullness of life and the only place where you can find the fullness of life, the intense aliveness that you sense when you are present to now is here. When you are open to the present moment what comes in is a gratitude for what is, no matter what it is. The little plant, the air you're breathing, the light that is coming through the window, the sound of a bird -whatever is, there is a goodness to it. And even if it looks bad, even if its a dead animal or a dead human when you are totally aligned with the present moment there is a peace that comes into your perceptions and with that peace comes a gratitude that is very deep. And so you are experiencing really life for the first time when you become present. So to be in a state of gratitude for what is is really what being wealthy means.
The present moment is always enough, and so the definition of wealth really is to be, to have enough. To feel the fullness of life - an expression that Jesus used - he said 'I want you to have the fullness of life' and people didnt quite understand what he meant. Was Jesus talking about shopping malls? That you have five hundred shops in one huge shopping mall and you have thousands of things to choose from, was he predicting the arrival of shopping malls? Is that the fullness of life? You can walk around and have lots of money and credit cards and you can buy anything you like? Now there are people who can do that, they are not happy. So then he is not talking about many, many things when he is talking about the fullness of life. He is talking about the one thing - it is to feel the intensity of being alive - and you can only feel that intensity of aliveness when you are in the present moment with your attention.

Yes its all about perspecitve Adal. When I heard that quote from Eckhart on the Living Luminaries movie it really rang my bell.. Its something ive been easing into understanding. Since ive stopped my job i have not had a great money flow but I have a good abundance flow. So my ideas on abundance are shifting..
I always have whatever I want to eat
I have a beautiful home in a wonderful place
I have health, strength, well being presence of mind
I have so much to explore in my domestic world
I have a car
I have internet
I have an mp3 player
I have so much!
The other day I was stressing about money ( I didnt have any) and the angels told me "dont worry, all is well". That very same day my Dad said he was going to the grocery and I offered to tag along.. I ended up getting a weeks supply of food.. also, later on in the week he asked me to do something for him and gave me $120 for doing it.. needless to say that held me over until I got my allowance.
It is good, the angels said, abundance does not only flow to you in the form of money. God will provide for you everything you NEED. Which got me to thinking - what do I really need? And its true! I havent gone hungry one day since I have stopped working, & I have an abundance of loving friends & a beautiful place to live in, I am rarely bored & I have so much free spiritual material to explore..
:heart::heart::heart:
I have also noticed that since I have been studying this Eckhart Tolle material my priorites have been shifting, he talks alot about the simple joy of being I am learning that true wealth starts from within, it begins with peace of mind & heart.. when you are peaceful inside you are like the birds who just go from moment to moment.. this moment to the next and never worrying over where they will sleep or what they will eat and they live in such abundance..
A new favorite of mine:
" And for this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them.. And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life span? And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that even Solomon in all of his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do so for you, O men of little faith? Do not be anxious then, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "With what shall we clothe ourselves?" For all of these things the gentile eagerly seek; for your heavenly father knows that you need of all of these things. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all of these things shall be added unto you. "
Jesus of Nazareth
Since Jesus also said: The Kingdom of God is within, I am assuming that he means seek God within, seek your connection to God, seek alignment, seek being comfortable in your mind and body.. this is what you have control of.. all else is taken care of!

Some quotes from 'A New Earth':
"Non resistance, Non Judgement and Non Attachment are the three aspects of true freedom and enlightened living."
-Eckhart Tolle
" Stillness is the language God speaks and everything else is just a bad translation"
-? (Eckhart was quoting someone here I cant remember who)
Q- Is the notion of success just an egoic illusion? How do we measure
true success?
Eckhart - The world will tell you that success is achieving what you set out to
do. It will tell you that success is winning, that finding recognition and/or
prosperity are essential ingredients in any success. All or some of the above
are usually byproducts of success, but they are not success. The
conventional notion of success is concerned with the outcome of what you
do. Some say that success is the result of a combination of hard work and
luck, or determination and talent, or being in the right place at the right time.
While any of these may be determinants of success, they are not its essence.
What the world doesn't tell you – because it doesn't know – is that you
cannot become successful. You can only BE successful. Don't let a mad world
tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment.
And what is that? There is a sense of quality in what you do, even the most
simple action. Quality implies care and attention, which comes with
awareness. Quality requires your Presence.

Eckhart on Death & Life:
Oprah: You're saying that even when you pass on, when you transition to the formless, that stillness, that conciousness, that spirit, whatever name you choose to give it is still there?
Eckhart: Yes, that awareness is timeless, its not subject to birth and death. Life has no opposite. Usually people think in terms of life and death but really death is the opposite of birth, its not the opposite of life. Life in its essence has no opposite, it is eternal.

Eckharts comments: It comes from within and not from without. People conventionally expect it to come to them from without and then it usually doesn't because you need to discover it in yourself first. This is why when you try to manifest things in your life..the vital question is: have you first of all already come to that place of fullness and joy within yourself right now?
Have you found a right relationship with the the present moment, because that's where it resides. It is only by having a right relationship with the present moment that the joy can arise from WITHIN you.
