Hello

I have fortunately come across this website after being in The Abe Forum, to which I was banned after asking why they were blocking people and topics from going further (these were not pornographic in nature, nor was there swearing, etc, just topics that were not directly (in their eyes) Abe-related).

This has upset me immensely and I am looking to find somewhere that whatever anyone thinks / says will not be excluded from the conversations and will be kept in line with Abe's teaching which they say in every workshop "nothing will be off-limits here".

P.S. I would like to personally thank New Dawn Rising for giving me this link. I tried to thank her / him on the other website, BUT, I was banned from doing so!!!

Hello Jessica! I'm glad you made it here and glad you got my PM before you were banned.

I agree with you that the moderating on TheAbeForum seems rather heavy-handed. Many times I see a thread locked or notice a post deleted and it doesn't make any sense to me. Sometimes I feel disappointment that there is not more freedom there.

But I remind myself that TheAbeForum is really a free service provided by David and Jody. They spend hours and hours taking care of the Forum. I don't know how they do it AND work a paying job at the same time. They love it and they are very dedicated and they have a vision about how they want it to be. It is their vision. They've stated the rules clearly. It doesn't matter if I agree about the implementation of their vision. It doesn't matter if I would do it differently.

What is important is that I not push against what they are trying to do. And I don't... I accept the way they are doing things even though I don't understand sometimes and I would do it differently if I were the moderator. But I still accept it - meaning I make the best of it. I love TheAbeForum and will continue to spend time over there. But I also love the freedom on this Forum - feels good to not wonder if my post will ruffle any feathers.

Try to not think about what just happened Jessica. I know it doesn't feel good to get banned. But obviously you were not a vibrational match to TheAbeForum... and now you've attracted this Forum into your life. So here you are! Hang around here and talk about WHATEVER you want!

Hi Jessica,

How wonderful you love studying Abraham. It's a fantastic teaching.

Please don't take anything personally on how things are moderated at the abeforum. Like New Dawn says, Jody and David manage the forum as a work of love, and they really have good intentions on maintaining it. I also know David has a big heart in wanting to spread the Abraham message, and the teachings mean a lot to him, so that is why he opened up the forum on the internet so people across the world can discuss it. He also funds the forum, outside of other's contributions, himself. And Jody is probably one of the most passionate people I've ever encountered who makes the Abraham teachings her life, so she means well when she moderates the forum.

And as we all follow Abraham, one of the biggest things to learn in life is to allow others to do as they do. The Art of Allowing applies everywhere like Abraham boards. And Jody and David can have their wonderful vision, you can have your wonderful vision, I can have my wonderful vision, and everyone on AbeTalk can have their wonderful vision, and we can tend to things that make us feel good.

So be free to share your vision here.

Steve

Allowance.
Are we allowed to express our opinions even if they aren't popular?

You have to consider the context of the situation. If you find yourself in a Catholic Church, it is not the right time, place, or audience to share ideas about Catholic Church being in disrepute.

If you are listening to your guidance, you would never post something on theabeforum that would be moderated.

I think Jody and David are control freaks who completely miss the point about freedom of expression. They are slimy puppet masters who paste smiley faces over their empty petrol tanks. They are not secure within themselves nor are they secure with the essence of the Abe teachings which really are about Allowance and Freedom.

Or, they are so secure and confident in themselves, they know what they don't want in their pie, and are able to act to remove it from their experience without getting out of their vibrational vortex.

Jody and David are an idea, a concept, used by disgruntled Abraham Hicks practitioners, with the purpose to justify their state of feeling disempowered.

Sure, they are allowed and free to be control freaks just as I am allowed to call them Pharisees and hypocrites. Sure, they are allowed and free to push against opinions, questions, and posts that don't fit the "narrow margins" of their agenda just as I am allowed and free to say they are fulla shit and vanity.

You are attracting everything they claim to be - control freaks, hypocrites, pushing again opinions, and people who say you're full of shit.

We suffer more when we don't honestly express our opinions of this moment. If the opinions seem dark, so be it. The moment won't always be dark just as the clouds don't continuously blot out the sun.

We also suffer when we continue to beat a drum and tell a story when it is clearly no longer working for us.

This idea that you have to be a joy-junkie goody-goody to get everything you want is pure bullshit.

Ok, maybe, but from my experience, being in a state of appreciation makes getting what you want enjoyable.

I have often thought it would be nice if they send the threads on the other forum downstream and back on-topic when they get off. I do like reading post there as well.

Here we just see what emerges co-creatively and it is really fun, often uplifting, occasionally pointless. My son and I are always looking for proof of the theory that we have that pointless can be fun. Life is supposed to be fun, yes?

The difference between the abeforum and AbeTalk is like the difference between network television and HBO television. Do you think the abeforum would ever allow Curb Your Enthusiasm or Bill Hicks or Sam Kinison or George Carlin or Richard Pryor?

Sheeee-it....

Abetalk is like HBO? I will allow this simile.
