I had an amazing time at work today, I was really TITITO pretty much all day. I have been practicing my "telling a new story" and each time I tell it, I feel better and better. it's been so awesome.
After my shift was done, I remembered that I had to pay for my monthly parking pass and so I headed over to the parking office. Before I continue, I have to tell you a little bit about where I work. The salon I work at is located in beautiful new shopping plaza. It's like Disneyland and the Las Vegas strip combined.
We have a beautiful fountain that was built buy the same company that built the fountains at The Bellagio in Vegas. Every 30 minutes there is a 5 minute "water show" that takes place and the already piped-in music gets even louder than normal. Whenever this happens, it's as though everyone stops to witness it and appreciate it.
We have a great selection of upper-tier retailers like: Calvin Klein, Barney's, Tiffany, kate Spade, BCBG, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and there is even more.
We have all kinds of wonderful places to eat. We can have sushi, Mexican food, pizza, and we also have a Pinkberry, Jamba Juice, and there's even MORE. This isn't typical mall food court stuff, either, it's all "premium" stuff.
Our theater is a "deluxe" multi-plex and features an excellent sound system and stadium seating.
We have a gigantic outdoor chandelier.
Our parking gargage has a smaller version of the Eifell Tower on it's roof . At night the tower is illuminated with lights that change color in time with the music that is piped in all over the place. Our soundtrack features hits by The Rat Pack, Peggy Lee, and other great singers from that era.
You get the idea, it's beautiful and I get to work in this beautiful place every day!
So I went and paid for my parking pass and as I took the escalator took me up to the main level, I saw that the "water show" had just started. I can see it several times a day and it never fails to get my attention. It really is pretty. It was a particularly clear night and there were several people seated on the patios of the various restaurants that have views of the fountain. There were a lot of good vibes in the air and the song that was playing was Dean Martin's, " 'Aint That a Kick in the Head?... a song I've always liked. It was a really cool moment. As I walked over to my car, I passed a store that had the following sign in it's window: "LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR LIFE!"
Now 'aint THAT a kick in the head? ;)
I couldn't resist...here's a link to a video of Dino singing the song. I love it! Sorry I wasn't able to embed it.
