So I've been reading this really great book that I just finished yesterday that really filled in a lot of missing pieces in this whole deliberating creating thing. At the end of the book they make an interesting suggestion on how to attract an abundance of whatever you want and become Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams. Throw a party.
This intrigued me. It does make perfect sense doesn't it. What's a better reflection of an abundance of good things than a party. You get a bunch of people who's company you enjoy. Get the best music, a comfortable cosy setting, an abundance of food and drink and lots of fun and inspiring conversations and ideas. What better way to chill and relax and allow a flow of well being and abundance into your life. Frankly the idea fascinated me and while I was wondering where on earth I could possibly find a bunch of like minded friends to party with Abe talk immediately came to mind so that's what this is about. Get into a party mood and let's have some fun
( The name of the book is I'm Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams. I am I am I am)

Wow Leah. So you've noticed it, I am so overwhelming head over heels in love with myself and these days I don't really care if it shows. Cosy up here with us Blissful, this party was made for you.
Wow. To be honest I think the thing that really got me started on this whole self-love journey was a stark realisation of how miserable I was and how little I loved and appreciated myself. I had my good days... don't we all, but most of the time when I was alone and there was no-one around I felt miserable. I used to write sad dark poetry, I just felt like everyone else was in on some secret that I knew nothing about. They seemed so much happier. Things worked out so easily for them.
I had my strengths and I knew them. I've always known I was pretty and I've always known I was bright it didn't give me much comfort though. I would think how can someone as beautiful and clever as I am still not be able to have what people who seemed to have less than I did could get so easily. My sole comfort was God and the church, at least there we were all equal. It was a small comfort though because I had no idea who God was, and the people who taught me about Him didn't seem to have a clue either. I got bored of my parent's God and the Church's God and I was pretty disillusioned with the whole idea of God when I first found the book Conversations with God. Finally a God I could relate to. One who actually made sense. Well ... several books later and several conversations with God of my own, and several disasters that I came out of not just unscathed but expanded and wiser and several teachers later here I am. Madly, madly in love with myself.
Its been an awesome journey and now I'm just content to sit back and bask in how amazing I am. How amazing we all are.
I have to say Leah I've always loved your energy and your mind. You have such a creative and unique perspective on life and your world, your inner world, the one you create in your head sounds so fascinating. You've talked about wanting to write something more positive. I'm sure you have several books in you. I do too. In an ideal world what would you write about? What would your book be like? What sort of people would you want to read it? What effect would you want it to have on them? Care to share?
I've got loads of questions don't be so quiet Blissful... I have some for you too. Why do you look so happy in all you avatar pics? What do you have going on for you that has you so blissful? What would you like to Blissfully Co-create with us?
Hmmmmm. I love these overstuffed couches.

He's definitely a blissful creation though. I love how great having him in my life has been. We are really good for each other. Being with him has taught me so much and led to so much expansion and self appreciation and the best thing is I know I do the same for him. I see fantastic things in our future, I should know because I put them there :rocket2: Right now though I'm just happy to bask in the wonderful relationship that we have. I love it. Ask and it given.
Since starting this thread my life feels like a party. I had to go for this family thing on Saturday, I was expecting a boring stuffy few hours of listening to people heehawing back and forth and it ended up being of all things a party. My cousin gave me a call and told me he was having a function in connection with his upcoming wedding, he said it would be really nice if we could be there to support him. To put this in context in Africa we have lots of these family 'get-togethers' and they can sometimes be very boring long meetings full of long winded speeches by elder family members. When a family member is about to marry we have several of these meetings between the two families to discuss dowry and stuff. You usually have two to three of these negotiation meetings before you can finally get the go ahead to have the wedding.
We got together with my siblings who I rarely get to see and a cousin who I see even more rarely and went together. We were all surprised when we got there to see so many cars parked outside. Even more so to see who was there, so many relatives that we haven't seen in so long. We go in and the first thing I see are the tents and the chairs and so much food set out for us. We sat down waiting for the speeches and the MC suprises us all by saying that we'll get to the other stuff later... let's eat! As the day wore on it turns out they decided to put the negotiation meetings together with the traditional wedding so we were actually there mainly for the wedding I ended up having such a fun time. The only boring meeting part of the day was the few minutes when my folks and the rest of the negotiation team disappeared to finalise their discussion and they came out minutes later all smiles singing and dancing. It was all so much fun and so fascinating because my cousin was marrying a girl from a different community and their cultural wedding rites were so interesting and fun! I had the best time the food and the company was awesome and their hospitality was amazing. They are such a wonderful joyful family. I loved being around them. What a great experience.
I've been partying everywhere else too. Dressing up in fun clothes and just having fun uplifting conversations all over the place. I'm realizing that I am surrounded by the funnest and funniest people.
I love that the party never stops. Cheers to blissful creation.
