Abraham loves to use Joseph Campbell's words ''Follow your bliss''. I came upon a JC Foundation site and found these simple words today
JOSEPH CAMPBELL: ''If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.''

''My general formula for my students is "Follow your bliss." Find where it is, and don't be afraid to follow it.''
Mmmm... I love simplicity ^^

I adore Joseph Campbell and his work! One more thing to thank Abraham for introducing to me! If you get a chance, check out his DVD series called, "Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth". Thank you for sharing, Ashvata!

Ashvata,
I discovered this wonderful teacher YEARS ago when Bill Moyers was interviewing him for a series of PBS specials on the Power of Myth. He was in his 80's then, a magnificent scholar. I believe the DVD's of the interviews are available. That was when I first heard the phrase, "Follow your bliss."
There was something about him-----He was the only person I could focus on at the time, as I was dealing with an excruciating Contrast at the time. I got the book that was referred to often in the show and while a whole lot of it was unable to stick at the time, I remember being very moved by the phrase that was actually the subject of his life's work: :" THE HERO'S JOURNEY."
Thank you so much for bringing him to the forefront here!

Hi Natasha,
Thanks for mentioning Joseph Cambell. He's been referenced quite a few times by Abraham. HIs mantra "Follow your bliss," ranks up there with "Feel Good," as one of the wisest, and most simple, sayings I've ever heard on how to live a good life.
Also thanks for mentioning to me a few good authors to look into. I really appreciate that. I am looking for further inspiration and I know Joseph Campbell would be a good muse. His words parallel that of Abraham.

Hey Lani, Pat, Steve and Richann, I love you all so much!
Richann, the quote you posted especially struck me - ''following my excitement'' was exactly what I was afraid of doing in the past week, because what was happening to me was so enormously exciting...like such a huge excitement I got stiff because it was so new to me - but I've learned a beautiful thing -
I now understand what ALL IS WELL really means - these words carry such a profound meaning, and to UNDERSTAND what exactly ALL IS WELL means is so freaking liberating it makes my soul scream with JOY!
Can you feel the power of these words? Can you see the connection between understanding that all is well and complete trust in the Universe?
I can now see this connection - it sounds so damn simple, but it's so unbelievably powerful. I got such a kick out of this understanding I feel raging joy!!! And it all started when I simply just DECIDED to understand what it means.
JUST DECIDE

Thanks for the thread Sunshine
I love JC and his 'follow your bliss' always inspires me to do a delicious self rampage! I found an Abe qoute that would go ever so wonderfully with JC...ENJOY
Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy -- you're right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body
