Thank you for this forum.

Are there other forums besides this one that are NOT controlled by David G. and Jodi? I know they control the Abe Forum and the Yahoo Abe list. Their attitudes there are getting pretty NON ABE to me there.

Any one besides this one?

Thanks.
Amy

But fear not, we all now write in a highly complex code so that we appear to be having light refreshing conversation instead of mentioning unfragrant body parts. You'll soon get the hang of it.

OMG... hooting! rofl rofl rofl

And after that brief word from our sponsor...

We had a visit from an alien early last month, a very famous person (on The Other Forum) who took exception to ... a lot of things, but one in particular. rofl

Wow you guys, thanks for the welcomes.

Ok, NOW I get it. WOW. My Abe's better than your Abe discussion. No wonder when I asked about another forum, NOW I understand the answer. I just feel like I went thru a political mud slingin contest. I gotta go take a bath. WOW.

I'm too new here to vote. However, I think no matter what 11:11 should do what feels best for him, it's his baby I understand.

I do know that on the other forum Ruth made a stand against that new 'Faves' thing, and shortly after it was deleted. I personally agreed with her reasons, and cut and pasted it but it stayed up about 15 mins or LESS before it was deleted. There was no discussion over the non abeness of Jodi's suggestion. I am totatly disgusted with that forum being so NON ABE right now, and won't even look at it anymore

Thanks Sierra, I will check out that forum, it looks like an awesome place!

Hope stirring up the contrast again didn't piss off anybody snooping around here. lol. Well, maybe I do. :)

How non abe of me. lol. rofl :applause:

Maybe it should be shared privately as to not add to the negativity of certain onlookers.

I'm just glad to be somewhere else. Now I know why I never posted there, only looked in every day.

Hi, here's what Jodi deleted that Ruth wrote it was regarding starting a 'faves' list, they called "the best of the best". I thought she made some good points that made me think. Basically I thougth I was good at kickin ass, but she did pretty good:

I got my buttons pushed a bit, to a point. No doubt I did. Past that point, it looks to me that a list like that is following someone else's guidance. As in here's what others found effective. It seems opposite to Abe and counter productive to Abe stuff in a major way.

Plus it looks like by doing that we are not appreciating all the 'lesser' posts that didn't make the "culling". I mean who is to decide such a thing? And here I thought buttons and castles were equal. Lots and lots of posts are here, and yes, including mine, (button pushed here) are just as precious a gems, even the one liners, as those that someone else is pulling out as the 'best of the best' type thing.

It feels very very upstream to me for those reasons. Because the principals and heart and soul of Abe seem quite violated and it makes Abe feel like lies when we are appreciating only the faves of the 'mainstream' of Abe. As in here, appreciate, here, bopa, here feel good, and oh btw, here are the posts we honor as faves.

Why should anyone post anymore with simple things, everyday things, when only the 'gems' are being pointed out as saying "come THIS way, come THIS way Dear One" .

Very opposite of Abe to me.

Warmly (honestly)
Ruth

Thanks, I do LOVE and adore the buffett table. But I do prefer the food to not bite me back. :) So i will love it here.

I don't so much mind being bitten. Hell, I often deserve it & sometimes encourage it. Bitten is 1 thing - deleted is another.

yeah, well about that. Actually I do ADORE spicy food and want it to bite me back. So analogy fails. I was just dissapointed cuz I agreed with Ruth. Oh well, she and I both are not mainstream Abe enough for them, oh well, I am sooooo dissapointed. rofl

That whole debacle taught me something extremely important:

The more I pushed against it, the worse I felt.

So...I stopped pushing.

And lo and behold....all was well again!!
